Here are some tips on how to get a more customized fit on your dress. At the checkout screen dress by design has a comment form, in the comment form, you will enter any extra measurements with the details on what you need altered.  Here are some ways you can customize your measurements:
1. If you are getting a dress with an empire waist and need extra length so that the seam does not cut across your bust, measure the length from your shoulder to the bottom of your bra and include that in the comments.
2. If you need extra inches in the torso area, measure from your shoulder to your natural waist.
2. If you need extra sleeve length, measure the length from the top of your shoulders to your wrists, elbow, or whereever you would like the sleeve to end.
3. If you have thick arms and would like the sleeves a little loser, include those measurements.
4. If you need extra length on the skirt, measure the length from your natural waist to where you would like the length to end.
