I'm trying to locate casual and dress pants for
a 14 year old boy who's 5"11. He
would need a 26" waist and 34" inseam. He could wear a 28"
waist if the
pants had elastic on the sides or an inside drawstring.
Can you please help??
Thanks so much!
Wow, this is an
extremely hard size to find. However, I get lots of
requests for this similar size. It appears that his length
is a little bit past the size where they have the elastic waist
drawstring inside. I know what you are talking about,
but these are usually only found in boys sizes, but
most boy sizes only go up to 32" inseam. You
have inspired me to create this page to help everyone having
the same hard to fit size dilemma.
1. Custom
Clothing will be your best option as you can get exact
measurements.
Lands' End Men's Custom Clothing Custom design your own Chinos and jeans with
your own measurements and inseam length. You can
also custom design your own shirts. I have made a
custom designed shirt and have loved it. I haven't
tried the custom pants, but have bought tall sized pants
from Lands' End and I love them. This is an affordable
option as pants start at $70, however I just went through
the process and 28" is the smallest waist size they
offer.

The Executive's Closet offers
men's custom clothing made to your own measurements
including fine suits, jeans, shirts, tuxedos and
more. I contacted them and
they will defiantly let you make a 26" waist or any other
custom sized waist. Andy- the
owner has given visitors to
this website an exclusive 10% discount when
you enter coupon code: tallclothing at
checkout. You
can even send them an item that you fits you well, and
they will clone it and make duplicates in the fabrics you
choose. This opens up all kinds of clothing
possibilities for tall
people.

I have
used Make Your Own Jeans to order a pair of jeans. It is an
easy and affordable process. The downside is that
it took about a month to receive my custom jeans.
They give you lots of choices on how you want your jeans
or chinos to look. The jeans are made in India and
when you pay for them, you will be charged in India's
currency which threw me off. But, be rest assured
that your credit card will be processed in the correct US
dollars. If you would like, you can even send them
your favorite pair of jeans or pants for them to clone in
the size that fits you. I am really happy with the
pair I ordered.
2. Get a
size that almost fits and fit an excellent tailor to
custom hem your sizes to you. A great tailor is
a tall person's best friend. They can also let out
inseams if they are a bit too short.
Here are some clothing companies that
are great for tall teen males:

  28" x 34" More jeans in a size 28" x 34"

They carry 34" inseams, but the waists start at
30".

Gap.com allows you to search by size. They
have a good selection of men's pants in a 29" waist
by 34" length.
Well, that's all I can find for
now. If anyone else knows of some resources, I'd be
happy to add them here. I'll bet in the next
year you will see him grow tremendously and he will have
an easier time trying to find tall pants that fit.
I wish you all the best.
